A weekend crash in the western North Dakota oil patch has killed a Williston man. The Highway Patrol says 20-year-old Mason Mulkey was driving a pickup truck and failed to yield to a semitrailer at the intersection of U.S. Highway 85 and state Highway 68 south of Alexander. The crash happened about 6:40 p.m. Saturday. Mulkey was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in his vehicle, 20-year-old John Walz of Bogalusa, Louisiana, was taken to a Minot hospital with unspecified injuries.
