NAPLES, FL : High-speed chase crash on Monday, 1st January 2018
Authorities located a convicted felon from Fort Lauderdale in Naples after he fled from deputies in a stolen car on Monday night.
The suspect, John Simecek, was found by Collier County deputies in the parking lot of Dylan's Drafthouse in the stolen car.
When deputies tried to stop the car, Simecek took off.
He hit 90 miles per hour on busy Airport Pulling Road in East Naples.
When Simecek tried to make a right onto Estey Avenue, he lost control and crashed his car over concrete barrier poles, over the bushes, and into a pick-up truck.
Simecek then got out of the car and ran away.
A sheriff's K-9 chased after him. Simecek hit the K-9 on the head but the dog took him down.
