Charlotte, NC : 13-year-old Charged After Van Goes Into Home on Friday, February 13, 2015

A 13-year-old is facing charges after a minivan ran into a home, and ran away from the scene with others.

The incident happened around 6:15 p.m. at a home on Vancouver Drive in northeast Charlotte. Officials said the van caused major structural damage to the home.

Police did not say who the vehicle belongs to. Two other people who were in the van when it crashed ran from the scene, prompting a search of the area.

The teen reportedly returned to the scene after the crash and was questioned, but police say they are searching for two others who took off running from the scene.

The juvenile was charged with possession of marijuana and resist obstruct and delay charges.

Three people were inside the home at the time of the wreck, according to police. All three were unharmed.

Officers have not said who was driving the van when it crashed or why the van may have crashed into the home in the first place.
