INDIANAPOLIS, IN : Man sentenced in fatal Indianapolis street racing crash on Friday, 4th November 2016
A man has been sentenced to prison and probation in a street racing crash that killed three people in Indianapolis last year.
The Marion County prosecutor’s office says Connor Tomlinson of Greenwood earlier pleaded guilty to three reckless homicide charges in the deaths of 52-year-old Rebeca Rodriguez-Gomez, her 12-year-old daughter Jasmine Aldai and 59-year-old Rogelio Legorreta.
Tomlinson was sentenced Friday to serve five years in prison, three years on home detention and six years of probation.
Investigators say Tomlinson accelerated rapidly from a stoplight on a wet roadway. Tomlinson lost control of the Ford Mustang and struck a median, causing the car to go airborne. The car then struck the Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Legorreta.
