The North Charleston Police Department says one person is dead following a crash on Interstate 526 Sunday.
The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. in the westbound lanes of I-526 near Leeds Avenue, spokesperson Harve Jacobs said.
The crash involved a tow truck and a pedestrian.
Traffic was backed up for nearly two hours, but the South Carolina Department of Transportation cameras show traffic has since cleared.
