Gresham, OR : Man died when his car slammed into a utility pole in deadly Gresham crash on Saturday night
A man was killed when his car slammed into a utility pole in Gresham on Saturday night.
Emergency crews were called out to the 30300 block of Southeast Lusted Road at 10:45 p.m.
Investigators said a black 1994 Mitsubishi 3000 GT was heading west when it crossed into the wrong lane and hit the pole.
The impact broke the utility pole and spun the car around and into a ditch about 40 feet away.
The driver, and adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Neither person has been identified.
Investigators said initial indications are that high speed and alcohol may be contributing factors to the crash.
