Prairie Du Sac, WI : 52-year-old Patrick Gott dies in single-vehicle crash on County Road PF in Sauk County on Wednesday morning, February 17, 2016
Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin
A Prairie du Sac man was killed in a single-car crash Wednesday morning in Sauk County.
At about 9:37 a.m. Sauk County sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a one vehicle rollover crash on County Road PF west of 21st Street in the town of Prairie du Sac.
The Sauk County Sheriff's Office said a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am, operated by 52-year-old Patrick Gott, of Prairie du Sac, was headed east on County Road PF and drifted off the left side of the road. The car struck a driveway and overturned. Gott was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected from the vehicle.
Gott was taken from the scene by Sauk Prairie Ambulance Service and later pronounced dead by a Med Flight doctor who was called to the scene.
The sheriff's office said it's not known why the car drifted left, although witnesses told officials the car took a gradual path, not a sudden movement, from the roadway.
An autopsy performed on Thursday revealed Gott died of blunt force trauma from the crash.
