CORYDON, IN : Corydon woman killed in crash after 'seemingly fleeing from police' on Saturday, 16th December 2023

A southern Indiana woman is dead after seemingly fleeing from authorities, according to Indiana State Police (ISP).

ISP Sgt. Carey Huls said state trooper Nathan Newton was patrolling on State Road 62 around 7:30 on Saturday, Dec. 16.

According to authorities, Newton witnessed a woman, later identified as Sierra Rose Baylor, driving an SUV "completely disregard" a stop sign at the intersection of State Road 62 and Water Street in downtown Corydon.
