Ridgeland, SC : Two people killed and five others injured in fatal 4-vehicle collision on I-95 in Ridgeland on Thursday afternoon, April 23, 2015

Investigators in Ridgeland are investigating a fatal crash that happened Thursday afternoon.

The collision occurred around 4:30 p.m. Officials say two people were killed and five others were injured, three of them are in critical condition at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah as a result of a four vehicle collision on I-95 southbound at the 22 mile marker.

According to the Ridgeland Police Department, Alma Jo Cordell, 66, of Summerfield, FL was driving a white Lincoln traveling North on I-95, when the vehicle ran off the left side of the road going through the median and cable barriers, and traveled into the southbound lanes colliding with 3 separate vehicles. Jack Harold Cordell, 67, of Summerfield, FL, was a passenger in the vehicle. Both were pronounced dead on the scene.

Barbara Ann Kulisek, 53, of Bluffton, was traveling south in the left lane when Cordell's car traveled across the median, and was struck by the Lincoln on the left side of her blue 2008 Infiniti, causing it to spin sideways in the roadway coming to rest in the center of both lanes. Kulisek was transported to Memorial by EMS where she was treated and released.

Adrienne F Davis, 52, of Greer, SC, was traveling South in the right lane when her silver 2010 Toyota Rav4 was struck head-on by Cordell's white Lincoln, causing it to travel off the right side of the road and overturn. Brenda J Burris, 60, of Greer, SC; Gina Lynne Dunn-Mayfield, 54, of Belton Bell TX; and Kristi Ann Brooks, 50, of Simpsonville, SC, were all passengers in Davis' vehicle.

All four were taken to Memorial for their injuries. There is no update on their conditions at this time.

Melvin Ernest Tucker, 69, of Sparks GA, was traveling south in the left lane when his white 2010 Ford pick-up collided with the white Lincoln on the driver side rear, pushing the Lincoln back into the median against the cables. Tucker was not injured.

The Ridgeland Police Department continues to investigate the collision.
