DELAWARE COUNTY, OH : Single-vehicle crash leaves one person dead in Delaware County on US 36 between I-71 and Africa Road on Tuesday, 26th March 2019

One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Delaware County.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says it happened around midnight on US 36 between I-71 and Africa Road.

Troopers say 53-year-old Lawrence Walton, of Sunbury, lost control of his vehicle and it ran off the road and into a grassy median before striking two embankments, overturning and striking a guardrail. Walton died at the scene.

Troopers say he was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash, but troopers say they suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash.
