DODGE CITY, KS : Dodge City man killed in rollover crash on Monday, 1st February 2021

A 46-year-old man has died following a crash in southwest Kansas.

The accident happened at around 7:15 p.m. Sunday at 106 Road and U.S. 50, just west of Dodge City. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports a southbound Chevy pickup hit a stop sign and jumped the railroad tracks. It then hit another embankment and flipped onto its roof.

The driver, Jeffrey Gibson, of Dodge City, was unresponsive when deputies arrived on scene. The patrol reports he was not wearing a seat belt.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
