Bronx,NY : SUV Driver Fatally Hits Elevated Train Pillar on Jerome Avenue between East 196th Street and Morris Avenue on early Thursday morning July 24th 2014

New York City police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle accident in the Bronx.

It happened on Jerome Avenue between East 196th Street and Morris Avenue at 2:19 a.m. Thursday.

Police say the driver of a 1999 Lexus was found unconscious and unresponsive inside the vehicle.

A preliminary police investigation determined that the victim struck an elevated train pillar.
