Davis, CA : One person was injured in a multiple-car collision at Interstate 80 On Thursday, August 18th, 2016
The California Highway Patrol responded to a multiple-car collision early Thursday morning on westbound Interstate 80 just west of the I-80 eastbound transition road.
According to a report by the investigating officer, at approximately 4:55 a.m., a 2008 Honda Accord became disabled and pulled over; the driver then exited the car and walked to the right shoulder.
Shortly thereafter, the Honda was struck by another car, causing it to spin out into the lanes of I-80, which caused other vehicles to crash into it. Ultimately, five cars and a big-rig truck hit the Honda as it was spinning out.
Only minor injuries were reported, the CHP said.
