Prescott, AZ : Two people injured after a collision on Rosser Street and Willow Creek Road Thursday afternoon, May 12, 2016
A collision at the intersection of Rosser Street and Willow Creek Road Thursday afternoon, May 12, sent two to the hospital with minor injuries. Two vehicles, a pickup truck and car, struck each other about 5:25 p.m. resulting in the truck rolling onto its side. The two drivers were transported to Yavapai Regional Medical Center West with minor injuries, said Capt. Dan Morgan, acting battalion chief with Prescott Fire Department. There were no passengers.
“As bad as this accident was, the people involved are fortunate,” Morgan said.
The pickup rolled onto a second truck waiting in the left turn lane of Rosser Street, damaging the front and hood of the vehicle. Its driver and two small children inside were not injured. The first truck was smoking, leading to the arrival of Central Yavapai Fire District’s engine 51 and Prescott Fire’s engine 74; however, no flames resulted. Fire personnel rescued an uninjured dog from the vehicle.
Traffic temporarily was shut down in the northbound lanes of Willow Creek Road.
