Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
City police Saturday released the name of the driver involved in a fatal wreck with a bicyclist on PGA Boulevard late Friday.
Police said they will not reveal the name of the bicyclist, pronounced dead on the scene, until next of kin can be notified.
The wreck took place just before 10:15 p.m. on PGA Boulevard just east of Interstate 95. The cyclist was pushing a bicycle across PGA’s westbound lanes when it was struck by a black 2015 Chevy Tahoe driven by Deanna Echavarria Galindez, 42, of West Palm Beach, police said.
No charges have been filed, said police, who stressed that they have not completed their investigation.
The wreck was the second to injure a bicyclist in Palm Beach Gardens in the last two weeks.
Police are still seeking the driver of a gray or silver 2010 Toyota Corolla who hit and critically injured cyclist Richard Atwood at about 12:30 a.m. April 18 as he rode his bike on Alternate State Road A1A, south of Donald Ross Road.
