WEST FELICIANA PARISH, LA : 14-year-old boy killed in accident involving ATV on Saturday, 22nd June 2024

A 14-year-old boy was killed in an accident involving an ATV on Saturday afternoon, June 22, according to West Feliciana Parish Sheriff Brian Spillman.

The accident happened on a private property in the Cheerful Valley area of West Feliciana Parish.

According to the sheriff, the boy drove into a ditch that was obscured by tall grass and was thrown from the ATV. The sheriff added that it appears the boy did not see the ditch.

Sheriff Spillman said deputies and first responders performed CPR on the victim until he arrived at a hospital. However, he sadly died as a result of his injuries.
