Ogden,UT : 1 dead, 1 injured in Cache County crash on may, thursday 11th 2017

One person is dead and another is injured after a car crash on Highway 91 in Hyde Park.

North Park Police Department Chief Kim Hawkes told ABC4 that a pickup truck and a small white vehicle collided on Highway 91 near 4100 North.

Smithville resident Curtis Nilson, 61, was driving the small white car and died at the scene of the crash, according to the Herald Journal.

The pickup truck driver was transported to a hospital, but Hawkes told the Herald Journal he was unsure of the driver’s condition. Hawkes also told the Logan newspaper the driver was conscious when responders took him to the hospital, and the driver’s injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

Highway 91 was closed around 9:36 a.m. following the crash, according to a tweet from the Utah Department of Transportation. The road was cleared around 11:23 a.m., according to another UDOT tweet.
