ASHVILLE, TN : Driver crashes into Whitt's Barbecue in south Nashville on Friday, September 23rd 2016

Police are working to figure out what caused a driver to crash into a Whitt's Barbecue in south Nashville.

Pieces of the car were found scattered across the parking lot on Antioch Pike, causing police to believe the vehicle may have hit something else before striking the building.

The car hit the restaurant wall so hard that the vehicle's battery flew out.

The driver is said to have serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
