CARMAN, IL : 3 injured in Henderson County crash on Saturday, 22nd September 2018
Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 5:04 p.m. Saturday on County Road 750N, one-quarter mile west of County Road 925E.
According to a District 14 Illinois State Police news release, Markita Currie, 26, New London, Iowa, was stopped on 750N waiting to turn into a driveway when Mason Butler, 18, Lomax, failed to reduce speed and rear-ended Currie’s Jaguar with his Chevrolet Blazer.
Butler was not injured in the crash. A male juvenile passenger in Butler’s Blazer, Currie and her passenger, Tyler Crawford, 33, Burlington, Iowa, sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Butler was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, operating an uninsured vehicle and unlawful display of registration.
Henderson County Sheriff’s office, Stronghurst Police Department, Media-Stronghurst-Terre Haute Fire Protection District, Lomax Fire Department, Stronghurst Ambulance, Burlington Fire Department Ambulance, Med Force Air Ambulance and Berg’s Towing responded to the scene.
