Newport News,VI : 2 people taken to hospital after crash in Newport News on June, Thursday 29th 2017

Two people were taken to Riverside hospital Thursday afternoon following a car crash in Newport News.

A gray sedan collided with a silver sedan as it was crossing Harpersville Road at Louise Drive about 2:50 p.m., Newport News Master Police Officer M. Boucher said at the scene. The gray car flipped onto its side.

Neighbors gathered around the intersection as tow trucks worked to clear both cars from the road. The gray car's roof had been removed from the car.

"I just wish people would pay more attention to stoplights and slow down," said John Roberts, who lives in the area. He rode his bike over after he saw fire trucks and heard sirens.
