Authorities say three people were killed in a two-vehicle crash in Clay County in eastern Kentucky.

Kentucky State Police say the head-on crash occurred Friday on the Hal Rogers Parkway.

State police say the crash occurred when a westbound pick-up truck driven by 40-year-old Jason Gibson of Big Creek, Kentucky, crossed the center line and collided with a car driven by 63-year-old Judy A. Pennington-Adams of Hyden.

Police say Pennington-Adams died along with two of her passengers — 59-year-old Charlene L. Lewis and 23-year-old Tiffany A. Williams, both of Hyden. Police say Williams' 2-year-old son, also in the car, was taken to University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, where he was in critical condition.

Police say Gibson was also taken to UK Medical Center, where he was in stable condition.
