One teenager was killed and three others were injured in a crash Saturday night in High Point.
High Point police said a 2003 BMW sedan crashed into a tree along Whites Mill Road between Braddock Road and Deerfield Street at 9:18 p.m. Saturday.
Police said Jacob Goeke, 17, died of his injuries at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
One passenger is in critical condition at Cone. The driver and another passenger were treated for minor injuries.
Police said excessive speed and alcohol contributed to the crash. Police said the car's driver, Dwight Gray Jr., 19, was charged with driving while consuming under age 21. Additional charges are pending.
