Byron, MN : Mantorville woman hurt in 3-car crash on U.S. Highway 14 just west of Rochester on Thursday evening, October 30, 2014
A Mantorville woman was injured Thursday evening in a three-car crash on U.S. Highway 14 just west of Rochester.
Sandra A. Dirks, 44, suffered nonlife-threatening injuries when she was unable to avoid hitting two cars that had collided directly in front of her on U.S. 14 near Byron. According to the Minnesota State Patrol incident report, Mary Jordan, 48, of Wells, Mo., struck a car driven by Rochester's Catherine D. Zomok, 31, while attempting to change lanes.
That accident caused Jordan to redirect and collide with Dirks, who had been following her.
Dirks was the only driver or passenger injured in the pileup. She was transported to St. Marys Hospital for treatment.
The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
