Halifax, MA : Hanover men expected to survive head-on crash in Halifax on Wednesday, April 13, 2016

Three men were hospitalized and two suffered serious injuries in a head-on crash in Halifax where a sedan struck a pickup truck Wednesday night.
The crash happened at 499 Plymouth St., outside the Halifax Town Hall, about 5:21 p.m.
Two men, in their mid-20s, were in a sedan that crossed over the center line and struck a Chevy pickup truck head-on, Halifax Fire Chief Jason Viveros said.
The men in the sedan, both from Hanover, were removed from the vehicle by firefighters using the Jaws of Life extrication tool.
Two medical helicopters landed in the parking lot of a nearby Walmart and took them to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries. The men were expected to survive, Viveros said Thursday morning.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 61-year-old East Bridgewater man, was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Plymouth with injuries.
