NEW KENT, VA : Charles City woman dies after crash on Pocahontas Trail on Thursday, 2nd May 2024

A Charles City woman has died after a two-vehicle crash in New Kent on Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened shortly after 4 p.m. in the 3800 block of Pocahontas Trail.

Virginia State Police says a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country was traveling east on Pocahontas Trail near Matachanna Lane when it hit a 2013 Chevrolet Cruz in the back.

After the crash, the Chrysler ran off the road, hit several trees and the driver was thrown from the vehicle.
