APPOMATTOX COUNTY, VA : 82-year-old dead after Appomattox County crash on Friday, 19th July 2024

A man from Appomattox is dead after a crash on Friday, according to Virginia State Police.

According to VSP, the July 19 crash happened on Red House Road in Appomattox County just after 5 p.m.

"A 2003 Chevrolet Express Van was heading northbound on Red House Road, a half-mile north of Cub Creek Road, when the vehicle crossed the center line, overcorrected, went off the right side of the road, and struck an embankment," VSP said. "The van then overturned, and the driver was ejected."
