Fort Convigon , NY : One snowmobiler killed and another missed in accident search resumed after Crash on Sunday , February 15th 2015

One snowmobiler is dead and another is missing after a snowmobile accident over the weekend in Fort Covington, New York.

Authorities say the men were riding on the Salmon River Sunday when the ice gave way. One body was found Sunday evening. The search resumed for the second man Monday, but he was not found.

The Franklin County Department of Emergency Services says both men are residents of the Akwesasne Mohawk Reservation. Officials have not yet released the names of the men. But an obituary posted by the Donaldson Funeral Home in Massena identified the victim found Sunday evening as Brandon Sweeting, 26.
