FELTON, DE : Woman injured in crash involving empty school bus in Del on Friday , January 6th 2017

The Delaware State Police says it’s investigating a crash south of Felton that involved an unoccupied school bus and two SUVs.

State Police says the crash happened Friday morning when a 71-year-old woman from Wyoming, Delaware, was making a left turn. State Police say the woman, who was driving a Toyota RAV4, failed to yield the right away and traveled into the path of a Chevrolet Suburban.

State Police say the vehicles collided and struck the front of a school bus that was stopped at a light.

Troopers say the RAV4’s driver, Theressia M. Moore, was hospitalized in serious condition. A passenger in the RAV4 was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

State Police say Moore was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
