Kennett, MO : Two killed in a drunk and drive accident at U.S. 62 On Tuesday, May 17th, 2016

Authorities in Dunklin County have arrested a Campbell man following a head-on crash that killed a Campbell couple late Friday night. Troop E of the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the accident occurred just before midnight on U.S.

62, a quarter-mile east of County Road 317, when a pickup truck driven by 24 year old Shawn Skaggs crossed the center line of the highway and struck a car driven by 46 year old James Kerperien, who was killed, as was his 44 year old wife,

Stephanie Kerperien.
It is suspected that Skaggs was driving drunk at the time of the accident. He is being held at the Dunklin County Justice Center with no bond. Skaggs is charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter and is expected in court today for his

initial arraignment before Associate Circuit Judge John Spielman.
