Lehigh County, PA : 69-year-old Bucks County man dies after crashing into median on Route 22 in Whitehall Township on Wednesday morning, February 10, 2016
A 69-year-old Bucks County man was pronounced dead following a Wednesday morning crash on Route 22 in Whitehall Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
David Cameron, of Chalfont, Pennsylvania, was driving east on Route 22 near the MacArthur Road/Route 145 interchange, when he lost control of the Mini Cooper he was driving a little after 9 a.m., trooper said.
Cameron was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg in Bethlehem, where he was pronounced dead at 9:56 a.m., troopers said.
The cause was cardiac arrest, and the manner of death was ruled natural, police said, citing the ruling of Lehigh County Deputy Coroner Richard Kroon.
The car Cameron had been driving hit the concrete median, then traveled about 83 feet before coming to a stop in the left lane of Route 22 East, troopers said.
The car's airbags did not deploy, and troopers do not know if Cameron was wearing a seat belt.
