Williston, FL : Michelle M. Anderson, 36, dies in head-on crash at SR 121/SW Wacahoota Road on Monday, November 14, 2016

A Williston woman died Monday after the car she was driving was hit head-on by an SUV passing in a no passing zone.

Michelle M. Anderson, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene by Alachua County Fire Rescue at the collision site at SR 121/SW Wacahoota Road.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Anderson was traveling south in her 2001 Honda Accord when Calvin Lee Adams III, 29, of Crystal River attempted to pass a line of vehicles in a no passing zone.

Adams, who was driving a Nissan Pathfinder north, crossed into Anderson's lane and struck the car.
