Motorcyclist killed in Prattville crash near Alabama

Prattville police are investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and automobile. The crash happened around 1:20pm Tuesday on McQueen Smith Road at Highway 82.The motorcyclist, 62-year-old man from Amory, Mississippi, was killed in the collision.

Authorities will not release the victim's name, but say the man was driving his 2012 Harley Davidson on the U.S. 82 Bypass when a 2009 GMC Sierra truck made a left turn onto McQueen Smith Road into the path of the motorcycle resulting in a crash.The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck, 40-year-old Stephen Craig Fant from Montevallo, Alabama was not injured.
