Huntsville couple killed in wreck in Fultondale Alabama

Two people killed Tuesday evening in an Interstate 65 crash have been identified as a husband and wife from Huntsville.Alabama State Troopers and the Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the couple as James Earl Robinson, 61, and Lois Coleman Robinson, 65.
Authorities said the couple was driving southbound on I-65 in Fultondale when the 1999 Lincoln Town Car veered into the median and struck a pole. Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said the vehicle somehow got in between the northbound and southbound guardrails and struck the base of an overhead message sign.

Yates said investigators don't know what caused the driver to lose control. James Earl Robinson was driving, and his wife was alongside him in the front seat. An off-duty Jefferson County sheriff's deputy witnessed the crash.
