A 24-year-old Magnolia woman is dead after colliding head-on with an 18-wheeler Sunday night.
Montgomery County emergency medical units responded to a crash at FM 2978 near Ken Lake about 10:20 p.m.
According to Montgomery County Hospital District officials, 911 callers reported a vehicle struck an 18-wheeler and that there was one person trapped and unresponsive.
The Magnolia Fire Department responded with additional medical units and confirmed entrapment.
Jenna Christine Beasley, 24, of Magnolia, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body was sent to the Eickenhorst funeral home in Conroe.
Beasley drove a 2007 Nissan Altima northbound on FM 2978, while a 53-year-old truck driver operated a newer Cub Cadet 18-wheeler in the southbound lane.
The Texas Department of Public Safety fatality report states that Beasley crossed the solid yellow center line dividing the opposite lanes of traffic and struck the 18-wheeler.
Beasley’s Magnolia home address is listed less than four miles away from the crash.
She was a receptionist at the FM 1488 Animal Medical Center since September 2013, according to her Linkedin profile, which was confirmed by officials at the center.
Beasley’s job description included overseeing the reception area, greeting visitors and responding to telephone and in-person requests for information.
