Navarre, FL : Navarre woman dies in motorcycle crash at the intersection of U.S. 98 and Coral Street in Santa Rosa County on Monday, 15th July 2019

A Navarre woman died Monday after her motorcycle collided with a vehicle at the intersection of U.S. 98 and Coral Street in Santa Rosa County.

Heidi Lynn Thomas, 54, of Navarre, was traveling westbound on U.S. 98 on a 2016 Can-Am Spyder at approximately 6:15 p.m., according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

Traffic ahead of Thomas was stopped at the intersection of Coral Street.

The front of the motorcycle collided with the rear of a 1998 Ford Expedition driven by Robert John Lewis Orth Jr., 29, of Navarre. The impact caused the Expedition, which was facing forward, to collide with a 2015 Chevy Impala driven by 25-year-old Brittney E. McCready of Navarre.

Thomas was ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced deceased at the scene. There were no other injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
