One is dead and another injured after a car crashed into a pole on Raleigh LaGrange Road.

The crash happened in the 4600 block of Raleigh LaGrange, just down the road from the scene where a pedestrian was hit minutes earlier.

Police said the right side of the car hit the curb and continued into a pole, causing the vehicle to split in half, ejecting the people inside.

Investigators said because both people were thrown from the vehicle, it is hard to determine who was driving at the time of the crash.

One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was taken to Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

Police later identified the man that was killed as 25-year-old Quinton Johnson.
