Huntersville, NC : Burglar crashes vehicle into Birkdale Village jewelry store early Tuesday morning, March 8, 2016

A vehicle was used to crash into a jewelry store in a burglary in Birkdale Village early Tuesday morning.

The vehicle crashed into Fink's Jewelers on Townley Road near Birkdale Commons Parkway. Huntersville police are looking for the burglar, or burglars.

There's no word on what, if anything, was stolen from the jewelry store. The Huntersville Fire Department reported the crash around 5:30 a.m. By the time Huntersville police arrived, the vehicle was gone.

Police say the vehicle crashed through the front doors, creating entryway.
