One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash Friday evening in rural Chippewa County.
According to a press release from Chippewa County Sheriff James Kowalczyk, emergency crews responded about 9:30 p.m. Friday to a report of a wreck at the intersection of County Highway MM and 300th Street in the Chippewa County township of Edson.
A passenger in one of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The identities of the deceased and others involved in the wreck was not released pending notification of family members. The incident is under investigation, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
Responding at the scene were the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, Boyd Ambulance, Chippewa Fire District Ambulance, Boyd Fire Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
