Price, UT : Price man killed in US 6 crash on Sunday, 2nd October 2016
A head-on collision with a semi in Spanish Fork Canyon killed a 30-year-old Price man Sunday morning.
The Utah Highway patrol reported that the victim, Daniel J. Pike, was driving eastbound on US 6 at about 9:33 a.m. when his 1995 Monte Carlo crossed the center line and collided with the westbound truck.
Pike, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was partially ejected through the driver’s door window. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The occupants of the semi were not injured.
The UHP reported that driving under the influence by the victim is being investigated as a contributing factor in the crash.
Highway 6 was closed in both directions for about 3 1/2 hours for investigation and cleanup.
