CURTICE, OH : Fatal crash closes State Route 579 near Curtice on Tuesday, 12th March 2024

One woman was killed in a crash that shut down State Route 579 just south of Curtice Tuesday morning.

According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, Heather Musser was driving a small car eastbound when she collided with a large van driven by David Sziber, 34, of Cleveland.

A truck pulling a boat then also hit the car.

Sziber was pulled from his vehicle and flown to a nearby hospital. Another occupant of his vehicle sustained minor injuries.
