CHARLOTTE, NC : Car crashes into telephone pole on Beatties Ford Rd. on Tuesday, 1st January 2019

CMPD is investigating a shooting that resulted in a car going off the road and striking a telephone pole before a person in the car was transported to the hospital by Medic.
There were two people in the vehicle and one individual is being treated for serious injuries resulting from two gunshot wounds while the other is reportedly unharmed. The accident occurred on the 100 block of Beatties Ford Rd. where police are still investigating the scene of the incident.
The actual shooting had occurred in the 1800 block of Maribel Ave. after the adult male victim had an argument with two other individuals. Police believe that this contributed to the shooting but are still investigating the motive.
The victim’s friend was the driver of the car and was going to the hospital with the victim as his passenger when the crash occurred.
