One person was seriously injured in a crash that shut down S Kings Drive near uptown Charlotte Wednesday afternoon.
The accident happened around 12:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of S Kings Drive, closing the road down in both directions. Medic took one person to Carolinas Medical Center in serious condition.
It took around 18 firefighters around 17 minutes to free the person, the Charlotte Fire Department says.
Officials have not said what caused the crash or how many vehicles were involved.
