Rockland, MA : Rockland teenager killed in three-vehicle crash on Thursday December 31 2015.
Witnesses said one of the vehicles involved in an early-morning crash was traveling in the wrong direction side-by-side at a high rate of speed next to the vehicle driven by a Rockland teenager who was killed when they crashed.Just before 3 a.m., Rockland police said they responded to reports of a three-vehicle crash in the area of 584 Beech St.
I just saw a silver car flip up in the air, go through the woods and land on its roof," witness Heather Lunnington said.
When first responders arrived at the scene, they said they saw a 2005 Toyota Highlander on its roof in the southbound travel lane.
The driver of that vehicle, identified as Patrick J. Sullivan, 17, was dead at the scene.

There was also a red 2004 Mitsubishi Galant involved in the crash, and two occupants in that vehicle were not injured.
Several witnesses told investigators that the Nissan had been driving on the wrong side of the road, side-by-side with the Toyota at a high rate of speed.
Officials said there was contact between the two vehicles before they both left the road and came to rest.
Seconds later, officials said the Mitsubishi, which was also headed south, rounded a curve and crashed into the overturned Toyota.
Sullivan was a well-liked senior at Rockland High School and was on the wrestling team.
Right now he would be wrestling," friend Dennis McPeck said. "Unfortunately, he didn't come to practice this morning. We will miss him dearly."
Friends described Sullivan as a funny guy and good athlete.
