Manhattan, KS : 4-vehicle crash injures 1 near the intersection of Tuttle Creek Boulevard and Kimball Avenue on Wednesday, 12th February, 2020

A multi-vehicle wreck caused by slick roads near the intersection of Tuttle Creek Boulevard and Kimball Avenue left one woman injured and disrupted traffic for hours on Wednesday evening.

According to a Kansas Highway Patrol report, three vehicles, including a Nissan Altima, Mercury Grand Marquis and a semi truck, stopped at a red light in the southbound lane of Tuttle Creek Boulevard, just north of Kimball Ave., at 5:20 p.m.

A GMC Arcadia driven by Jesse Flores, 23, of Manhattan, came up behind the line of vehicles, but could not stop because of slick road conditions, causing a chain reaction of crashes.

Emergency responders took a passenger in the Nissan, Brianna Porter, 25, of Manhattan, to Ascension Via Christi Hospital for treatment of a suspected minor injury.
