Sauk Rapids, MN : 88-year old man killed in a broadside collision on Highway 15 and 18th Street North on Monday morning, November 14, 2016

An 88-year old Sauk Rapids man was killed in a broadside collision Monday morning at the intersection of Minnesota Highway 15 and 18th Street North in Sauk Rapids, according to Minnesota State Patrol.

Robert Aurelius was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Impala westbound on 18th Street North. Shortly after 11 a.m., his vehicle collided at the intersection with a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country driven by 84-year-old Myron Handeland of Royalton, who was heading north on Highway 15

Handeland was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, the State Patrol reported.
