Denver, CO : Cyclist seriously injured in crash with car in Denver on Thursday morning, June 9, 2016

A cyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a car Thursday morning.

It happened at 5th Avenue and Pennsylvania Street around 8 a.m.

Video from the scene showed a bicycle near the back tire of the car and the passenger car window shattered.

Police told Denver7 the driver of the car will be cited because the cyclist had the right of way.

The cyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.
