Mandan, N.D : 31-year-old woman dies in single-vehicle crash off Interstate 94 and Exit 161 in Mandan on Friday morning, Aug 7, 2015

A 31-year-old Mandan woman has died in a single-vehicle accident after her car crashed into a walking bridge and burst into flames.

The Bismarck Tribune reports the woman was driving Friday morning in her 2006 Hyundai Sante Fe to Bismarck from Mandan.

Authorities say her car went off of Exit 161 on Interstate 94 and onto the grounds of the nearby Bohn Armory. Her car continued for several hundred yards until it struck a concrete walking bridge abutment.

The car started on fire. The woman died at the scene.

The woman's body was transported to the state Medical Examiner's Office.

She has not been identified.
