Brainerd, MN : Aitkin teen injured in Highway 210 crash near McGregor on Tuesday afternoon, July 5, 2016

An Aitkin teenager was injured in a one-vehicle crash on Highway 210 near McGregor Tuesday afternoon.

Samantha L. McMurray, 17, Aitkin, was driving a 2010 Ford Fusion at 4:55 p.m. Tuesday westbound on Highway 210 about 5 miles west of McGregor, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.

While going through a curve, McMurray drifted right and overcorrected, causing the vehicle to lose control and go into a ditch. The vehicle kept moving and then hit a field approach.

McMurray suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash and was transported to Riverwood Healthcare Center Hospital in Aitkin for her injuries. A representative from the hospital said McMurray was treated for her injuries and released later Tuesday in good condition.

The crash report indicates she was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash and the road was dry.
