MADISON, AL : 1 injured in wreck on I-565 near Huntsville International Airport on Sunday, 21st July 2019

A wreck closed the eastbound lanes of I-565 Sunday morning.

According to a Nixle alert from Huntsville Police, the eastbound lanes were blocked at Glenn Hearn Blvd. around 8 a.m.

ALGO reported the wreck involved an overturned vehicle.

Police advised drivers to expect delays in the area.HEMSI spokesman Don Webster said one man was taken to Huntsville Hospital with serious injuries and is being assessed.

Huntsville Police said the roadway was reopened around 9 a.m.
