Topeka,KS : Authorities give update on Topeka motorcyclist injured in Saturday crash with FedEx truck on May, Monday 14th 2018

A man who suffered life-threatening injuries in a motorcycle crash Saturday is in stable condition, authorities said Monday.

Anthony Forshee was in stable condition when the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office was last updated, Sgt. Todd Stallbaumer said Monday. Forshee was involved in a collision with a FedEx truck Saturday afternoon.

At S.E. 35th and Croco Road, the 28-year-old motorcyclist was headed northbound and trying to turn west when the FedEx truck heading southbound failed to yield, according to Sgt. Brad Jones. Officers and rescue workers were called to the scene around 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Forshee was not wearing a helmet and suffered life-threatening injuries. The FedEx driver was not injured. No citations were issued at the scene.
